In his private law practice, Mr. Weinstein counsels and represents a large United States and International client list. As a consulting expert, he authored as well as provided comments and made recommended changes concerning various intellectual property laws for many countries including, among others, Bulgaria, The Arab Republic of Egypt, The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Serbia, Cape Verde, Ethiopia, and Lebanon, In addition, he has made presentations on the subject of intellectual property rights, protection, and enforcement to government officials, industry representatives, and attorneys in Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Benin, Botswana, Indonesia, Jamaica, Montenegro, and Tanzania.

EXPERIENCE
Generous with his time and talents, he has written training materials and trained government officials, industry representatives and attorneys from foreign countries at the International Law Institute, the World Learning/Technical Training for Societies in Transition, and for the SPIRE project in Washington, DC.
A prolific writer, Mr. Weinstein authored two nationally published books on the subjects of trademark and copyright law entitled: How to Protect Your Creative Work: All You Need to Know About Copyright and How to Protect Your Business Professional and Brand Names.

PROFESSIONAL AND GOVERNMENT POSITIONS
He has taken a leadership position in associations tied to his legal focus area, having served as a Board member of the National Writers’ Club, the Colorado Film and Video Association, the Colorado Songwriters’ Association, and Colorado Lawyers for the Arts. He has also served as a member of the Editorial Board of the International Trademark Association and as a member of the Editorial Board of the Copyright Society of the USA as well as a member of the Board of Trustees of the latter organization
Mr. Weinstein was an Instructor, Copyright Law at the University of Colorado, Editorial Board of the International Trademark Association’s Trademark Reporter, Editorial Board of the Copyright Society’s Journal of the Copyright Society, Colorado Lawyers for the Arts, founding member and former board president, National Writer’s club board member, Colorado Author’s League board member, International Trademark Association, Copyright Society of the USA member Board of Trustees, Licensing Executives Society, American Intellectual Property Law Association, and Authors Guild.

EDUCATION AND MEMBERSHIPS
A graduate of the University of Denver College of Law, Mr. Weinstein furthered his education at the New York University Graduate School of Law. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado. He has been admitted to practice law in Colorado, New York, Ohio and Wisconsin.
David is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, Copyright Society of the USA, International Trademark Association, Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association, Colorado Lawyers for the Arts, The Authors Guild, Colorado Authors League, Colorado Film and Video Association, Colorado Songwriters Association, Denver Advertising Federation and the National Writers Club. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the majority of those organizations. He is also a member, United States Center for Public Resources Institute for Dispute Resolution/International Trademark Association Panel of Neutrals for alternative dispute resolution proceedings in the area of trademark and unfair competition law.
