DAN PATTERSON
Dan Patterson is a well-known civil trial lawyer, having tried cases for the past 24 years to juries, judges and arbitrators. During his career he has handled cases involving insurance bad faith, personal injury, construction defects, employment discrimination, fraud, breach of contract, medical malpractice, and environmental contamination. He has tried about an equal number of cases on the defense side as well as the plaintiff side, has represented large corporations, partnerships, insurance companies, closely held companies and numerous individuals. Dan's colleagues have recognized his expertise in the courtroom by rating him as one of Colorado's finest lawyers (Martindale Hubbell AV rating, Best Lawyers in America 2005--2006, Colorado Super Lawyers 2005--2006.) Dan's 24 years of litigation experience have given him a practical and creative approach to mediation along with a very straightforward style.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Dan has been a member of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association (1984 to 1988) and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (1988 to the present). Dan served on the Board of Directors for CTLA and as an Officer. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly Association of Trial Lawyers of America). Dan is a frequent lecturer for national and local audiences on insurance bad faith, as well as trial tactics and strategies. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of Colorado Law School, as well as the University of Denver's Sturm School of Law and has served as a faculty member for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. |
EDUCATION
Dan received his J.D. degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1982, where he served as Editor in Chief for the Denver Law Journal.
